How can we help?

Getting started
Screen Time access. Tenki blocks apps through Apple's Screen Time. On first launch, iOS asks you to allow it. Confirm with Face ID or your iPhone passcode. You can change this any time in Settings → Screen Time.
Your first profile. Tap “Create Profile”, choose the apps and websites to block, and pick how your session works. We recommend “Until you end it” to start.
Ending a session
Depending on the method you chose, you end a session in the app, by scanning your NFC tag, or by scanning your QR code. Need a code? Create one for free, print it and keep it wherever works for you: another room, another floor, at work, with a friend.
Strict mode prevents deleting apps (including Tenki) while a session runs and, by default, blocks the App Store. Only use it when you really mean it. If enabled for your profile, Emergency Unblock is the limited way out.
App updates during Strict mode. While the App Store is blocked, app updates pause too, Tenki's included. They install automatically once the session ends, nothing is lost. If you want updates to keep running during long sessions, turn off “Block the App Store” in the profile's Strict mode settings. Deleting apps stays blocked either way.
Short opens and breaks
“Short opens” lets you open blocked apps briefly a few times per session. You can even set your own count and time per app. Planned breaks pause blocking for a set time and then continue automatically. Neither counts as focus time.
Free week and purchase
How does the free week work? Tenki is free to download. Tap “Start my 7 free days” and everything in Tenki works for seven days. The App Store shows €0.00 for it: it isn't a subscription, and nothing is charged automatically. If notifications are allowed, Tenki reminds you the day before the week ends.
What happens after the seven days? Tenki asks you once whether it stays: €7.99, one time. If you don't buy it, you can't start new sessions, and a running session can always be ended. Your profiles and your history stay on your iPhone.
Can I buy Tenki before the week is over? Yes. Tap “Keep Tenki” on the home screen, or the free trial row in Settings.
I bought Tenki before it was free to download. Then nothing changes for you. Tenki stays yours, with everything in it, and you don't need to buy it again.
New iPhone, or Tenki reinstalled? Open Settings in Tenki, tap the purchase row and choose “Restore purchase”. Use the Apple Account you bought Tenki with.
Can I get a refund? Purchases are handled by Apple. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Common questions
The app says Screen Time access is needed. Open Settings → Screen Time and make sure Screen Time is on and a passcode is set, then allow Tenki again from the alert on the home screen.
A blocked app still opens. Check that the app is selected in your profile and that no other blocking app interferes. Categories block all apps inside them.
Does Tenki see which apps I block? No. Apple only gives Tenki anonymous tokens. Nothing leaves your iPhone. See our privacy policy.
